BOOKLAUNCH @ ORCHARD, NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK
From january 23rd until februari 1st 2008, MER. was guest at the Orchard gallery in New York City, as part of the exhibition 'Cookie-Cutter' by Christian-Phillip Müller. MER. erected a temporary bookstore within the Orchard gallery, wherein all available titles from the MER. catalogues were exhibited and sold.
The events started on january 23rd with a conversation between Matt Mullican and Luc Derycke about the books they created together. On january 24th Adam Lehner read from his most recent publication, 'The Rearrangement', as to introduce the new MER. publication. On january 24th and 31st the gallery was filled with the sounds of Brethren of the Free Spirit, honouring the release of the album 'All Things are from Him, through Him and in Him', the firstborn on the new audioMER. label. Adam Lehner sined his 'The Rearrangement' on february 1st, during the finissage of the events. Duvel provided the necessary beverages.
The booklaunch in New York was the first in a planned series of international book presentations, meant to amplify the perception of the MER. fund.
